Amazon dress (wearing size M–I would take your normal size) comes in SO many cute colors and patterns! I love the white and yellow daisy as well as the multicolored floral, too! // Freda Salvador Eda d’Orsay sneakers (similar look for under $100 here!) // Ray-Ban sunglasses
It’s going to be another beautiful day here in Chicago and I feel so grateful to have brought a little Florida sunshine and warmth back from Florida with us! Back today with another outfit post we shot in our beautiful backyard during our stay!
You’ve seen this dress on stories and once before here on the blog featured in this try-on post, but I thought it deserved a post of its own because it’ll only set you back $25 and I wore it SO much in Florida–I know it’s one I will be living in this summer, too. Yet another perfect house dress find from Amazon!
I have Megan to thank for introducing me to this dress in one of her try-ons! I ordered it and then the next day I also saw Caralyn styling it on her IG–two friends I trust implicitly with their style reccos, so you know it’s good!
It comes in so many colors but I really loved this sweet little daisy print! (Another daisy dress!!)
Why I love it:
It’s tiered and a babydoll shape which I love because…let’s be honest, I like anything that is basically shaped like a pillowcase. What other kind of dress shape would I want to wear in a pandemic? Or after a year of a pandemic, followed by getting pregnant on top of that? 😜
Give me everything loose and flowy! My bodycon dress days are behind me. I wore enough of those in my twenties to last me a lifetime. I’m all about that comfort now.
I also appreciate that the hemline on this one is a bit shorter. (I’m 5’6 and it hits me mid-thigh). It gives it a more youthful, girly feel, which you can’t really accomplish with the longer mumus and house dresses.
Tip: If you’re on the taller side, I think it would be really cute with bike shorts (check Old Navy, I love my ON bike shorts–my exact pairs are gone but they have other awesome budget-friendly ones right now!) or jean shorts (linked my two favorites here at the bottom of the post!) underneath to give you more secure coverage.
What to style it with?
How I’d dress it up: With my favorite Loeffler Randall bow slides or my favorite espadrille wedges.
How I’d dress it down: With a cute pair of slip-on sandals (these are my go-to’s and so comfy) or your favorite white sneakers (I’m wearing these and adore them! So comfortable, and no break-in time! A small, women-owned brand, too!)
Accessorize: With a classic jean jacket, or brown leather jacket!
