Each year around this time, I look forward to the one gorgeous week when our part of town is in full bloom! It finally feels like spring is here and less frigid days are ahead. As you guys know, I’ve been all about stretchy pants over the past year of WFH – from these reader favorite petite friendly joggers for super casual days, to more office-friendly, polished looking pants that are still comfy enough to wear at home all day.
These wide leg pants are a perfect example, featuring a wide stretch waistband that’s flat all around (so it doesn’t scream “elastic waist”) and stretch throughout the entire pant. The higher rise waist paired with a cropped wide leg is surprisingly flattering even on petite ladies. These pants also happen to be part of an amazing sale Ann Taylor is running with 50% off + free shipping on everything this weekend!
A little more about these wide leg crop pants (50% off + free ship!) … they’re called “knit” but are not a sweater knit, more like a medium sweatshirt-like material but feels a little more refined. They are pull-on style with a fully elastic waist, making them great for WFH but they are structured and polished enough to be worn in a work setting. You can pair this with a simple tee or black turtleneck for WFH, white leather sneakers or slide sandals for running errands, or dress it up like I did here!
Measurements of xxs petite: 12.75″ across the top of the waistband when lying flat, 10″ rise, 23″ inseam.
Side note, I’ve been a bit obsessed with squared necklines and this ribbed tank is a good basic but I wish it came in petites! The overall fit works on me but is on the long side, and likely won’t be fitted on anyone who is even smaller framed. If you’re interested in this style but want something more snug and fitted, check out this tank (see on me here).
A few other Sale Picks in my Closet:
- Azra pumps – have these in multiple colors. So flattering for special events or work outfits!
- Drape front jersey tank – left a longer review on the product page, but this is a basic worth getting in 2 colors! Great standalone tank since it can be worn with a regular bra, also pairs easily under blazers and cardigans like the fan favorite Sophie sweater jacket (also on sale).
- Faux leather pants (my review)
