I’m having a hard time believing we’ve already reached the end of April, but here we are and Mother’s Day is just around the corner! I wanted to share a few tried-and-true gifts that the moms and mother figures in our lives love, and that I wouldn’t mind receiving myself either!
1. For Neighborhood Walks
Bala weighted bangles: (actually on sale!!) I first saw these on a friend and thought they were such a chic way to get a little more out of a workout or neighborhood stroll. These weighted bangles are 1 lb. each and can be worn for any activity from walking to yoga.
Bindle insulated storage water bottle: Such a clever design! This water bottle holds 20 oz of hot or cold beverages, is slim enough to fit in a cupholder and includes nifty hidden storage for essentials like keys and credit cards so you can keep everything in one place.
2. Allbirds Slip-On Loungers
My mother-in-law has been living in these! This slip on style comes in Allbirds’ breezy tree material or cozy yet lightweight wool material. They come in lots of colors and sizes 5 – 11 (they recommend sizing up if typically between sizes.)
If you’re not familiar with Allbirds, these are sustainably made, machine washable and odor minimizing, and fairly flexible to the foot for extra comfort! Nick is also obsessed with their shoes, so the brand often makes it to our gift lists. P.S. For last minute gifts, they offer 2 business day shipping for a reasonable $12.
3. Personalized Clear Case
I looove my TDE pieces (see on me) and appreciate their quality and free personalization. They offer so many chic pieces that would make a great gift, but their clear cases are especially useful. They can help organize handbags or diaper bags, are easy to clean as a makeup bag, or are great for travel since you can easily see everything that’s inside.
Note: Standard shipping cut-off for Mother’s Day is Sunday 5/2
4. Soft Modal Pajamas
Available in a pants set or shorts set in 10+ colors and patterns. These highly reviewed pjs are super soft and lightweight (95% modal, 5% spandex) and come in sizes XXS – XL. I find they tend to run a little loose and would recommend the shorts for petite ladies.
5. A fresh spring cleanser
Code EXTRAPETITE for 25% off; not valid on most gift sets
Sweet Apple Clean – Wanted to point out this new, limited edition version of their popular cleansing balm! I do not like strongly scented products and have been a fan of the light apple fragrance on this – very feels fresh and seasonal feeling.
Double Cleansing Duo and Clean Complexion Duo – two value kits that qualify for an additional 25% off with my code!
6. Luxurious Bedding
Boll & Branch: Signature Hemmed sheet set (starts at $160) Comes in beautiful, ready-to-gift packaging including a box with ribbon closure and a dust bag to store the sheet set together. These feel like nice hotel sheets – more crisp at first and softens up over wash and use, and very breathable. I asked them to reactivate my code, so you can use JEAN15 for 15% off an order (ends 5/15).
Brooklinen: Luxe Cotton Sateen core sheet set (starts at $135). These are a solid quality set of smooth and comfortable sheets. I have purchased sheets in our home from both these brands and am pretty happy with both, but if you prefer the more crisp hotel bed feel, care about the cotton being organic and want gift-able packaging, then I would go B & B.
7. Winc Gift Card
Great last minute gift for someone who loves trying and discovering new wines! We’ve purchased a gift card for my in laws before and it’s quite reasonably priced in my opinion with shipping included. My MIL was pretty pleased with the wine selection, and Winc’s policy is they will send a replacement bottle if you don’t like something received!
This was not sponsored, but I’ll be partnering with them on Instagram later so they gave me a link for 40% off your first box (making it under $30 for 4 bottles with free ship).
8. Always Pan
$30 off with code GOODTASTE30 (ends 5/4), and this pan is now also at Nordstrom which is matching the $30 off code and may potentially have faster free shipping!
This was a hit last Christmas for both my mom and MIL! My mom has found it especially useful for sautéing and steaming various asian dishes (spareribs, eggplant, steamed egg) on the included rack that would typically require more tools and gadgets to do. You can check out some of the many ways we use ours in my IG highlight.
Other gift ideas
- Personalized Jewelry – Last spring I shared a few small shops for customizable necklaces and rings + earrings. I think any of the pieces in those two posts would make great gifts, but do check the processing & shipping times!
- Curated Gift Basket – If there isn’t one gift that feels just right, I always love a thoughtful basket. I shared some ideas for themed gift baskets last year and the same ideas could be used with small tweaks!
